This week I explored the effects of light on the 1:15 scale model I constructed last week. The images produced a dramatic and specific representation of the effects of light on the model as my torch accentuated every detail of the window, through its shadow in the empty space, unlike how it does in reality.
The use of light in these pictures accurately demonstrate the effects of the behaviour of the sun rising in the morning. I have included pictures of the real life space as it highlights the way lights up the room and directs on to the bed, acting as a natural alarm clock.
I am going to adjust last weeks model by adding new points of entry for light to increase the functionality and natural lighting in other parts of the room that aren't directly impacted by the single window structure that is currently in the space. As well as, human models to add context and emphasis to the scale of the model.
